Everything you need to know before your first visit — and a few things worth knowing even if you've been before.
Before You Book
If this is your first appointment at INARU, the Introduction is the recommended starting point. It's a full assessment of your nail health, the condition of your skin and cuticles, and what you're looking for — followed by a treatment. It gives us the information we need to make every future appointment more effective.
Other than that, there's nothing specific you need to do beforehand. Arrive as you are.
All appointments are booked through Fresha. You can book directly at fresha.com or via the link on this site.
Yes. If you have existing gel polish, BIAB, hard gel or extensions, book a removal service alongside your treatment. If you're unsure which to choose, get in touch before booking and we'll point you in the right direction.
Quite possibly. INARU is for anyone who wants a different standard of nail care — whether you're new to treatments or you've had them for years and want something more considered. The Introduction is designed for exactly this situation, and it gives us the chance to understand your nails and what's going to work best for you going forward.
No. INARU is appointment-only. This is intentional — every appointment is prepared for in advance, and the time is yours from start to finish. Booking ensures that.
Your Appointment
You'll be welcomed in, offered a drink from our Offerings menu, and we'll take a moment to talk through what you're looking for before we begin. The studio is private — it's just the two of us — so there's no waiting area, no background noise, and no pressure to be anywhere quickly.
Don't worry. We'll talk through what you're after at the start of your appointment and adjust from there if needed. If you're unsure what to book, the Introduction covers everything — assessment, consultation and treatment — and from there we can map out the right approach for you.
We'll assess your nails at the start of your appointment. If what you've booked isn't the right fit for where your nails are right now, we'll talk through the options and find something that is. The goal is always to do right by your nails, not to stick to a booking regardless.
Good to Know
Appointment durations are listed alongside each treatment when you book. As a rough guide, the Introduction runs to around two hours. Maintenance appointments are typically shorter. We don't rush — the time allocated is the time you have.
Longevity varies depending on the treatment, your nail health, your lifestyle, and how well product bonds to your natural nails. We'll give you a realistic picture at your appointment. Generally, most clients return every three to four weeks, though some go longer depending on what's been done and how their nails grow.
Cancellations & Changes
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge. Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of the appointment may be subject to a charge. This policy exists because the time is reserved exclusively for you and cannot easily be filled at short notice.
Same-day changes are treated as a late cancellation and may incur a charge. If something unavoidable comes up, please get in touch as soon as you can — circumstances can sometimes be accommodated, but this can't be guaranteed.
Please let us know if you're going to be late. Arriving significantly late may mean the appointment needs to be shortened or rescheduled, depending on what's been booked and what can reasonably be done in the remaining time. We'll always try to accommodate where we can.
No-shows will be charged in full. A deposit or card detail may be required to secure future bookings.
Completed treatments are non-refundable. If something isn't right after your appointment, please get in touch — most concerns can be addressed, and the 7-Day Flawless Finish Guarantee covers specific types of issues within a defined timeframe.
7-Day Flawless Finish Guarantee
If you experience lifting, chipping, or loss of product within 7 days of your appointment under normal conditions, we'll repair or redo the affected nails at no charge. This applies to standard wear — it doesn't cover damage caused by improper aftercare, heavy manual work, or anything outside normal day-to-day use.
The guarantee doesn't cover damage resulting from picking or peeling product, exposure to harsh chemicals without gloves, physical damage or trauma, or nails that were flagged at the appointment as being in a condition where adhesion may be compromised. We'll always be upfront about this at the time.
Get in touch within 7 days of your appointment. Send a photo of the affected nails and a brief description of what happened, and we'll sort it from there. Contact us at contact.inaru@gmail.com.
